7.2 Set User and Authority
In the system, one user means one person who operates the software. Due to different
authorities,theusedpagesmaybedifferent.Eachuserisdefinedbyfourattributes:Name,
loginname,passwordandauthority.
“Name”shouldbe thetruenameoftheuser.“LoginName”istheidentitytobeinputwhen
theuseraccessesthelogindialogboxofthesystem.“Password”isthepasswordtobeinput
whentheuseraccessesthelogindialogboxofthesystem.“Authority”willbeintroducedin
detailbelow.
Note:“User”and“Cardholder”aredifferent.Acardholderisapersonwhogoesinoroutof
the Access Control system (such as a commonemployeeof a company), while the user is
thepersonwhomonitorsorconfigurestheAccessControlsystemthroughthesoftware.
Authoritydefinesthelimitedleveloftheuseroperatingthesoftware.Differentauthorities
havedifferentsoftwareoperationlimits.
Click the menu bar“System” “Basic Setting” “User Group” to enterthe UserGroup
page. For detailed settings, please refer to Page 54,7.3User Group. When entering the
“UserGroup”incaseoffirstuseofthesoftware,thesystemwillautomaticallyinitializethe
UserGroup.
The software has three default authorities: System administrator, manager, common user.
Eachauthorityhasnolimitontheuserquantity.
Systemadministrator:Theusercanuseallfunctionsofthesoftwaresystem,includingBasic
Setting,Cardholder,AccessControl,attendancemanagement,databasemanagement,etc.
Manager:TheusercanuseallfunctionsofthesoftwaresystemexceptBasicSetting.
Common user: The user can use all functions of the software system except Basic Setting
anddatabasemanagement.
The table below lists the specific functions of each authority, and “√” indicates if the
functionisavailableinthecorrespondingauthority.
